ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Julia,
your K-Pop dance coach at Dance Your Way!
I fell in love with dance as a kid and never stopped. After more than ten years of classical ballet, I realized something important: for me, dance should feel like freedom and fun—not strict rules and pain. Teaching and dancing K-Pop allows me celebrate expression, energy, and individuality—and that’s exactly the vibe I bring to every class.

My Path
Ballet gave me discipline, musicality, and clean lines. Over time, I followed my curiosity into K-Pop and built my dance style through consistent practice and learning. I’d describe my approach as freestyle and open-style: I mix elements from different styles and adapt them in my own way. I travel to Korea and Japan every year and have been immersed in their cultures for over a decade. That love shows up in my music choices, clothing, and—of course—my teaching style.
Why “Dance Your Way”?
I named my studio this way because I want every student to discover their own way of dancing—free, expressive, and unique.

Why K-Pop?
Honestly? Because I love it! K-Pop dance also blends sharp choreography, great storytelling and styling, and pure joy. It’s social, creative, and modern—perfect for starting your dance journey and expanding your skills.
Beyond Class
I’m currently building a small culture club around Korea and Japan—reading together, watching films, discussing ideas, and learning new things. If you’re curious about these cultures, you’ll feel right at home.

Languages
Studio classes: Dutch. Online classes: English. I’m also fluent in Portuguese and Russian, so even if you’re not confident in Dutch or English, you’re more than welcome in both studio and online classes — so don’t worry about a language barrier.

See you in class soon!
